What our award means for our volunteers

04 June 2025

In 2024, we were one of 281 organisations chosen from charities, social enterprises, and voluntary groups across the UK to receive the prestigious award King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

It is the highest national recognition given to volunteer groups in the UK, essentially equivalent to an MBE for volunteer groups, and awarded for life. It recognises and celebrates outstanding work done by volunteer-led groups that benefit their local communities.

Each of our volunteers was awarded a badge and can proudly say that they volunteer for a nationally recognised, award-winning charity. Would you like to say the same thing?

Visit our volunteer drop-in session tomorrow from 6 PM – 8 PM to discover what it’s like to volunteer with Heart of Tamworth. We’ll have details on our latest volunteering roles, plus you can meet current volunteers and ask them any questions you might have.

No need to book, just turn up!
